ABC Fish Cake

The ABC Fish Cake surfboards are constructed from PU polyester fibreglass (the same as many top-end surfboards) with 3 x Futures fin plugs so you can set the board up as a regular 3 fin "thruster" or as a Twin + trailer for a faster livelier feel especially in smaller weaker waves. PU constructed boards handle choppy or sub optimal conditions well, they are more effective at slicing through the chop and so you get a more engaged feel than you do with some other constructions.

This classic "Fish" outline is a well established shape which has traditionally bridged the gap between mini-mals/funboards and high performance surfboards, so ideal for your first proper shortboard. The Fish Cake is wide under the chest which makes it nice and stable when paddling and also aids early wave catching. This added surface are also makes the board more forgiving on your pop up. The tail width is also generous which helps the board catch waves earlier than a traditional shortboard, it also helps carry speed through weaker sections of the wave. The "swallow tail" is designed to maintain rail length giving great hold and drive and with a bit less foam under your back foot it is easier to get turning.
