Mark Boyd is Scotland’s most capped international surfer. A three time Scottish National Champion in the Men’s Open, two time Masters National Champion, and four time Scottish Longboard Champion, his competitive record speaks for itself.

A familiar name within the UK surf scene, Boydie spends his summers working offshore before returning each winter to dominate the notoriously heavy line-ups of Thurso East. When his home break isn’t firing, he’s tracking the charts further afield ready to trade his Alder Evo hooded 6/4 for boardshorts in Costa Rica, Indonesia, and beyond.

Developing as a surfer in the far north of Scotland comes with its challenges, but it’s also proven the perfect training ground. Those cold, demanding conditions have refined Mark’s pigdog technique, helping him become one of Europe’s most accomplished backside tube-riders. Standing 6’4” with an unmistakable style, he has an uncanny ability to slot into even the tightest barrels.
