Dedication to going green is a journey, not a destination. Alder Sportswear embraced its Green Mission early on. As the company grew, it became essential that our next footprint truly reflect the identity and direction of our future. Commitment to sustainability is not a fixed endpoint, but an ongoing journey—one that evolves as our understanding of how our actions impact the environment deepens. As this understanding grows, so do our goals and motivations in developing better processes and materials. Our focus remains on human well-being and health, environmental responsibility, and the durability and sustainability of our products. By eliminating phthalates, lead, thermoplastic urethanes, harmful epoxies, and solvents from our processes, we create products with a cleaner, more responsible environmental profile.

Motivation is important because it: provides you with goals to work towards. Helps you solve problems. Most importantly it helps you change old habits. Equipping people with the correct knowledge of why and action is important and how it can be done. Helping with the assimilation of this knowledge and what important information to take away will remain our focus to the outcome of a sustainable solution. Leveraging leaders and endorsing behaviours that align with our mission is important and supporting our most important clients goals will remain an important commitment for us. We understand that a commitment to a plan will take time and taking one step at a time will be the pathway to remaining steadfast to the community that depends on companies like us to make movements that support a sustainable future.

SOCIALLY, SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES CAN HELP STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY BONDS, IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE AND PROVIDE HOPE FOR A BETTER FUTURE. Alder Sportswear landed in the heart of Devon, a centralized county known for it's resourcefulness in generating renewable energy. With a blossoming population the county it is a perfect fit for the direction of the GREEN MISSION. Alder HQ is built on a site that has re-purposed, agricultural land and buildings to minimise new structures, keeping the traditional look and feel of a working Devon Farm. Plans for the future include harnessing the power of the natural waterfall that flows into our "left to nature" lake, Organic gardening covers the all sides of the building allowing for more communion with the natural surround. Woodland management is paramount, Alder Sportswear plant hundreds of new saplings every year in an effort to offset any carbon displacement caused by the day to day activities. The next phase of our Green Mission. We are sourcing areas and methods of delivery to lessen the impact of shipping.
OBJECTIVES
OBJECTIVE GOALS HELPS TRIGGER NEW BEHAVIORS, HELPS GUIDE FOCUS, AND HELPS SUSTAIN MOMENTUM. GOALS ALSO HELP ALIGN FOCUS AND PROMOTE A SENSE OF SELF-MASTERY. ITS DIFFICULT TO MANAGE WHAT YOU DON’T MEASURE AND YOU CAN’T IMPROVE UPON SOMETHING THAT YOU DON’T PROPERLY MANAGE. Purpose is about feeling connected to others, so being an active member of a community can contribute to a greater sense of purpose in life. When you find your purpose, you’ll discover that there are many others out there who share your passions, interests, and values. Our goals are aimed at the productive analysis and implementation of the most effective policies and strategies. Ensuring the proper use of natural resources without risk of exhaustion will also remain one of our goals for the future. As renewable energy resources become available Alder Sportswear is committed to developing and implementing new programs that can create a self-sustaining manufacturing situation. Our last objective is to align with management and leaders in the industry that quantify the vision of our GREEN MISSION so we may perpetuate a modern development of forward thinking company culture.
